Making a Booking
Your agreement is between you and Faulkers Lakes. References to ‘the Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘our’ in these terms and conditions apply to Faulkers Lakes. References to ‘you’ in these terms and conditions are to you, as the person making the booking and, where applicable, to every member of your party.
There will be a contract between you and us:
- If you book by telephone when we accept your initial payment
- If we issue you written confirmation
- If you book online and your booking is confirmed
The person making the booking accepts the contract on behalf of all members of your party and is responsible for making sure they accept the contract. We cannot accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18.
If half or more of the party is aged between 17 and 25, you must tell us when you book. We have the right to refuse your booking or not to issue keys on arrival to any persons or groups at our discretion.
If you wish to book a single sex party you must tell us of this before you book.
We reserve the right to cancel any online booking that we reasonably believe breaches our terms and conditions of booking.
You must check your hire invoice and booking acceptance as well as all other documents we send you carefully as soon as you receive them. If any information appearing on any document appears to be inaccurate in any way, you must let us know straight away. We regret we cannot accept any liability to make changes if we are not notified of any inaccuracy in any document within 7 days of our sending it out.
Duration Of Your Stay
All terms are either per week (Saturday to Saturday*) or per short break (Monday- Friday, or Friday – Monday) for the accommodation as equipped and described. The usual check-in time is 3pm (subject to unavoidable delays). The check-out time (usually 10am) will be shown on your hire invoice. You are obliged to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition and you are responsible for any damage done or loss sustained during your stay. We reserve the right to charge guests for any damages made during your stay.
When you book you must pay the applicable deposit of 40% within 7 days of provisional booking, if we do not receive payment, your booking will be cancelled.
Your balance is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival. You will be sent an email reminder automatically if you booked online.
Cancelling Your Booking
Telephone us immediately if you have to cancel your booking. Deposits are non-refundable. We advise you to take holiday insurance to cover unforeseen eventualities. If you have paid in full at the time of booking, your payment, less the deposit will be returned if we are notified at least 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. Balance payments made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival will not be returned.
Cancellations or Changes by the Owner
The Owners do not expect to have to make any changes to your booking. However, sometimes problems happen and bookings have to be changed or cancelled or mistakes in brochures or other details corrected. The owner has the right to do this. If we do, we will contact you by phone if reasonably possible in the case of a significant change or cancellation (we will let you know about minor changes by post) as soon as is reasonably practical. We will explain what has happened and let you know about the cancellation or change.
Number in Your Party
The total number in your party must not exceed the capacity of the accommodation as advertised by us. Babies will be counted as members of your party. You should check the policy of your chosen accommodation carefully before booking. This is for insurance purposes. Any guests found to have exceeded the lodge capacity will be asked to leave. Capacity is determined by the number of beds and no refund will be given.
Linen, Towels and Keys
Except for cots, bed linen is provided. You will be provided with duvets and feather pillows for each guest. Towels are provided, each guest will have a hand towel and bath towel. These towels are not for hot tub use, and you will be charged £10.00 for each towel that is damaged.
We have the right to refuse to hand over accommodation if the unreasonable behaviour of anyone in your party is likely to cause offence to other guests or to members of staff. We reserve the right to terminate a holiday after the keys have been handed over, if the unreasonable behaviour of anyone in your party is likely to impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests or members of staff. In these circumstances, no refund will be given.
Damage to Accommodation
You are liable to Faulkers Lakes for any damage caused in the accommodation during the period of hire. Faulkers Lakes has the right to enter any accommodation (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if special circumstances or emergencies arise (for example if repairs need to be carried out).
We have taken all care to ensure that our lodge retreat is safe and hazard free. Injuries sustained during your stay are in no way the responsibility of Faulkers Lakes.
Faulkers Lakes maintains the hot tubs on a daily basis. In the event of inappropriate use resulting in chemical imbalances and the need to drain and refill the hot tub, a charge of £50 will be made to the person who made the booking. Guides to the proper use of our hot tubs are available in the accommodation.
We allow pets in allocated lodges, that you must reserve at time of booking.
You must tell us that you are bringing a pet when you make your booking. You must bring your pet basket with you and ensure that your pet(s) does not lie on the bedding or chairs under any circumstances.
All the lodges are non-smoking please.
Your vehicles, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. Faulkers Lakes are not responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever.
